Malou Meilink and Backa Hans Eriksson have both been active in Swedish music for many years – Malou mostly in the field of classical and early music, Backa Hans as a session musician playing rock, pop, jazz, classical and folk music.
Malou works as a soloist and chamber musician and has also composed the music for the Swedish TV series En ö i havet, and Lasermannen. Malou was part of forming the Music School Lilla Akademien in Stockholm 1998 - 2020.
As a freelance electric and acoustic bass player, Backa Hans has recorded, toured, produced and arranged for many of Sweden’s greatest artists. He has taught at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.
In this duo Malou plays recorders of all sizes, from sopranino to bass, and Backa Hans plays double bass and acoustic bass guitar.
The compositions come from different periods in music history. Some are traditional songs while some are original compositions. All arrangements are written by Malou and Backa Hans.
